Privet all my lovely readers! I am finally back from the grave! Cool right? YEAH!
Anywho, I have had this story buried in Google Drive for so long. I need to publish it. It is a Kane Chronicles/ Percy Jackson fan fiction. Rick Riordan stuff and the like. I had been working on it for a while so I was like 'better just post it'. So um yeah, hope you enjoy and stuff..(sooo tired....*yawn*)
Chap 1...I think.
I really never expected another initiate to arrive today…
I woke up and rubbed my neck before slipping into a full cotton outfit, suited to my...how should I put this…Unusual lifestyle. I’m a magician, Egyptian actually. Not the kind that pulls rabbits out of hats. I keep the Egyptian gods in check. Yep, you heard me, gods. Thier real and they can wreak havoc on Earth if us magicians don't step in. My names Carter by the way.
But mind you, not only are the god's real but the monsters too. Like the massive crocodile I had to kill recently. With the help of a ‘demigod’ named Percy. Don’t ask. Now where was I…
Well, after getting ready, I headed downstairs and prepared to get some breakfast. As you can probably guess that didn’t happen. I was halfway to the balcony when I heard someone running up to me. I turned to see Felix, one of our initiates, sprinting in my direction. “ Carter!” he said, his voice excited.” What is it Felix?? I gotta eat.”
“W..well, t..there's..” he panted, one hand on his knee.
“What is it already!”
“Someone opened the door!” he replied, finally catching his breath. Now this may sound normal but here it isn't. Here only initiates or magicians can open the door. So that must mean… “Get Sadie!” I told him as I raced toward the main hall.
Now, you might be wondering who Sadie is. She’s my sister and a fellow magician. She has blonde hair and looks like a normal british teen. She was raised in England, by the way. Me, i’m the exact opposite. I've never lived in a real home because my dad was an archaeologist and magician. Now he’s the god of the dead. My mom’s a ghost..weird huh. We look nothing alike either. I have dark skin and dark hair, like my dad. Sadie looks like my mom. By the time I reached the front door, Sadie had arrived and was sizing up the newbie. The girl was tall, as tall as Sadie and had long pale blonde hair. As I walked closer, I was surprised at her startling purple-blue eyes. She turned and her gaze pierced me like a dagger. She showed no fear even though she was surrounded by at least ten trained magicians.
“How did you get in??” Sadie suddenly demanded, her eyes blazing.
“Like any normal person, I opened it.” she replied, turning back around slowly.
“Well, are you a magician or not?”
“Kinda, I have...odd heritage.” she replied, her eyes taking in her surroundings with a icily calm aura around herself. That's when Bast arrived. She’s a god that swore to protect Sadie.
“What's this?” I heard her purr, her voice silky. I whipped around. But Sadie beat me to it.
“She got in.” she said simply.
“Who?” The group parted to reveal the girl. Bast hissed and backed away, her ponytail bushed up. (Bast is the god of cat’s so that’s normal.) The goddess backed up, her eyes glazed with fear.
“Your kind shouldn’t be here!” she hissed.
The girl seemed surprised and raised a hand. In it appeared a long blade, glowing slightly. Suddenly Bast stopped and froze.
”Which one?!?” she whispered.
The girl shrugged and replied calmly, “I'm the daughter of Poseidon and a descendant of Ramesses the Great and the pharoah Narmer. I am Greek and Egyptian.”
Every person nearby gasped and backed away, fearful. I looked closely and realise that her blade looked to be made of the same metal as Percy’s. “ Wait… Carter did you hear her Egyptian roots…” Sadie whispered, her voice quaking. That's when it came to me.
“Bast, me and Sadie are related to Ramesses and Narmer.”
“I know.”
“What does that mean...are we related..?”
“Yes she is related to you.. quite closely. Not cousins but you all have the same blood.”
The girl looked up and raised her eyebrows. She gave us a look that chilled me. She walked up to us and stopped a couple of steps away. “ Will you take me?” she asked, looking hopeful. I looked at Sadie and she gave me a faint nod.
“Sure. If you don’t kill us in our sleep.” She laughed and shook her head in amazement.
“I guess you’ll show me around now?” she asked, the laughter in her eye’s visible still.
