Thoughts of a Teen - Popularity

Hey guys! I have a hard topic to cover today. You might not agree with me but this is just an opinion. Popularity is probably one of the biggest topics to do, that is why I am going to split it into two parts.

Part 1. Popularity isn't everything.

Now I know someone is going to say "Well how do you know? You're not popular." Well, yeah I know that but have you looked at people who are popular? They look miserable most of the time. But I must say that I am talking about the general popularity like in high school popularity. Some people are popular for good things, but they don't handle it very well. Just thing how much it could change a person. Imagine a little girl is running down the street and there is a car coming, she doesn't see it but you do. You run a pull her out of the way. Her parents thank you and one thing leads to another. Now I am not saying that if you pull a girl out of the way of a passing car you become a hero. I am saying don"t get it go to your head. There are lots of Celebrities that have done this, they got popular and gained the worlds love but it went to their head. You can change from something like this. Keep yourself humble and kind.


Part 2: Focus on what's really important.

Some people think that the only thing in life is to become popular. But there are tons of different way to do that. Instead of trying to become popular like on social media, why not do something else like be a super nice person. Just think in 10 years you could be in college or have a family. But what kind of job could you have if you spent your entire life trying to be popular but now you feel like you wasted your time. Be the best that you can, don't try to impress the people around you. Make them love you for who you are.
